Painted Furniture Craze of 2021!!!
My year started with a bang!!! Not just the fireworks but a custom furniture job on January 1st!!! Two days later I had a phone call from another wanting me to paint her table and two side tables.
I think that after a year of Covid 19 and being stuck at home, got people to dreaming about fixing up their homes. They had money they didn’t spend on Vacation burning a whole in their savings accounts!!! I have that problem too!! 😉
I was ready and was so thankful for the opportunity!!! Here are some of the pieces I have done this year.
Seaside TV Cabinet
This was a simple cabinet for them to put their TV on. We picked the color special to go with their sofas. It is Seaside by Fusion Mineral paint
Copper | Laurentien painted table
This is one of the tables I did for the sweet couple in Flower Mound. This was painted with Laurentien Fusion Mineral paint and guided with copper guilding. The top was glazed over with Driftwood Stain and Finishing Oil by Fusion.
Painted Laurentien Side Tables
These two tables ( the tops were marble which I left at the customer’s home) also belonged to the couple from Flower Mound. They were painted with Laurentien and glazed with antiquing glaze by Fusion. Once she saw the pictures she changed her mind on the colors for these table and we ended up painting them in Cathedral Taupe with the glaze. They ended up looking beautiful in her home.

I could go on, but I think I will continue this blog later to show you the pieces done in February. Usually January and February are my months that I work on continuing education and learn new techniques for painting. This year literally started out with a bang and it hasn’t stopped yet!!!! My blessings overflow and so does my She Shed!!!
